New Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) President Haji Feisal bin Haji Eusoff Patail expressed his desire to change the Sultanate’s football landscape for the better.
“I will work tirelessly to support students or football players who are less financially able so that they can also pursue their ambitions to become outstanding football and futsal players”, he said during a FABD meeting with the grassroots team managers at Mumong Sports Complex on Tuesday.
The president is confident the discussion will open a new era in the development of Brunei football from grassroots to a higher level.
The establishment of grassroots level football clubs is a vital asset to the development of national football. The dialogue is one of FABD’s strategic plans in developing the local football scene.
FABD strongly emphasises the importance of shaping the development, skills and progress of grassroots players. FABD has planned several tournaments, training academies in an effort to attract the interest of grassroots football players.
