Saturday, January 24, 2015

DPMM FC will start their 2015 Singapore League (S-League) season with a clash against Harimau Muda on March 1 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
They will next face Albirex Niigata FC (s) on March 7 at the Jurong East Stadium before meeting Young Lions at the Jalan Besar Stadium four days later on March 11.
DPMM FC will close the month with a home match against Home United FC on March 18.
The complete fixture list for 2015 as well as the venues for the 10-team S-League can be found on the league’s official website.
The club’s head coach Steve Kean has set his sights on a treble this season after coming off their best season to date by winning the Singapore League Cup, claiming the runners-up spot in the Singapore League and a third-place finish in the Singapore Cup.
Brunei’s only professional team are looking to sign three imports to fill the Singapore League’s (S-League) five-import quota for every team and they are currently trying out 13 imports.
Irish midfielder Joe Gamble and Bosnian defender Boris Raspudic are the only two retuning imports from last season after the club surprisingly released top-scorer Rodrigo Tosi (Brazil), Irish forward Roy O’Donovan and Croatian midfielder Roberto Alviz.
DPMM FC also held a one-day trial for Under-19 players at the Jerudong Mini Stadium on January 11 where a total of 136 players attended.
The Brunei Times previously reported that DPMM FC will take on Indonesian Premier League outfit Persija Jakarta in a friendly match at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas at the end of the month.
DPMM FC also plan to head to Thailand in February for a pre-season friendly competition.
