Cambodia Hits Brunei For Six

Cambodia saw off the threat of Brunei in yesterday evening’s international friendly at National Olympic Stadium, in a game which saw the typically goal-shy hosts hit the back of the net on a satisfying six occasions.

Cambodia, captained by Thierry Chantha Bin, went behind in the game’s early stages after the Bruneian forward Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman put the visitors ahead in the 12th minute against the run of play. However, Cambodia, with the rousing cacophony of support urging them on, leveled through Prak Mony Udom in the 20th minute before going ahead through returning hero Va Sokthorn at the half-hour mark. One further goal from Mony Udom was added to the tally as halftime loomed before a double from Keo Sokpheng and a late Souey Visal effort gave the Angkor Warriors a handsome home victory.
