BRUNEI will have to wait another day before knowing whether DPMM FC will play in the upcoming Singapore League (S-League) which starts next month.

"There's no news from our side. You should check with the club directly," said Eric Ong, the Football Association of Singapore's (FAS) marketing and communications manager, when contacted yesterday.

The club, when contacted, however said that it was awaiting a response from the FAS.

"We are still waiting for the FAS to give us the news," said Pg Hj Muhd Waslimin PSJ Pg Hj Abd Momin, the DPMM FC manager, yesterday.

Pg Hj Muhd Waslimin gave the nation a good news last Saturday when he said: "The FAS has offered us another chance of playing in the S-League in the upcoming season.

"We have been given up to Jan 7 to come up with an answer, but we are hoping that the issue regarding Bafa can be resolved in time for us to play in the S-League again," the DPMM FC manager added.

The national football team and all club sides in the country cannot play in international competitions due to a global suspension slapped by Fifa on the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (Bafa) in September last year.
